Beyond Behailu is programming designed to support teens as they prepare for life as young adults. Students in grades 8th-12th and graduates of our program participate in evening workshops designed around preparing them for life as young adults. We share a meal together and then spend time building resumes, doing mock job interviews, learning about the cost of living, working on individual plans for after high school graduation, and discussing important social issues in our community.
- Enrichment opportunities: arts-based performances, community panels, museum visits
- Workshops: life skills, financial literacy, job readiness, preparing for college
- Mindful Girls Group: bi-monthly girls’ group focused on mindfulness and meditation
- A Seat at the Table: discussions exploring the impact of art, technology, and accessibility on the community
